A Day in the Life – Julián Nivia

When I’m not traveling, my day starts early with two things that help me stay focused: exercise and a strong cup of Colombian coffee. These moments are essential to prepare for a day full of meetings, planning, and strategy focused on student recruitment across Latin America.

I spend most of my time connecting with students, school counsellors, university partners, and educational agents. Each conversation is an opportunity to better understand what students are looking for, how we can guide them through the application process, and how to position our partner institutions effectively in a competitive market.

Some days are dedicated to content creation, analyzing market trends, or preparing for upcoming events. Others are more people-focused—hosting virtual sessions, following up with leads, or supporting a recruitment campaign in a specific country.

While every day brings new challenges, staying organized and adapting to different contexts across the region is key. Of course, when I’m on the road—attending fairs or visiting schools—the routine changes entirely. But whether I’m home or traveling, my focus is always the same: connecting the right students with the right opportunities.
